We are happy to announce Dr. Julio Garcia will be the Prism'18 keynote speaker!
After completing his PhD (Laval University, Canada) in 2012, Dr. Garcia did his first postdoctoral fellowship in cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging at Northwestern University (Chicago, USA) from September 2012 to December 2015 and a second postdoctoral fellowship at the Stephenson Cardiac Imaging Centre (University of Calgary, Canada) from May 2016 to June 2018.
Dr. Garcia started his first academic appointment in July 2018 at University of Calgary within the departments of Radiology and Cardiac Sciences. His research focus is in cardiac imaging and experimental models for the assessment of cardiovascular flow hemodynamics. His work so far has led to >100 scientific works including original articles, conference proceedings and abstracts. Dr. Garcia is also a junior fellow of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance Imaging and the Mexican National Research System (SNI-I).
